Belagavi is set to get a new Praja Soudha (District Administrative Building) as the Public Works Department (PWD) has officially invited tenders for its construction.
The proposed project, named Praja Soudha – Belagavi Zilla Adalita Kendra, will come up in the same DC office Compound near Rani Channamma Circle and the Court area, where several key government offices are already located.
The project aims to bring multiple government departments under one roof, making it easier for citizens to access services. Currently, many offices are spread across different parts of the city.
Project Details
As per the plan , the building will have a basement, stilt floor, and three upper floors. The basement will mainly be used for parking, helping reduce congestion in the busy administrative zone.
The ground floor will be designed for public services with waiting areas and counters, while upper floors will house important offices including the Deputy Commissioner’s office and Regional Commissioner’s office.
The design also includes open spaces, gardens, proper road access, and a grand structure with a central dome, giving it a landmark look.

The tender will be processed through the Karnataka Public Procurementi Portal (KPPP) under a two-cover system (technical and financial bids).
An Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of around ₹40.67 lakh is mandatory for bidders.

- Experience in similar building construction projects
- Minimum financial turnover of over ₹54 crore
- Proven track record of completing major works
