Belagavi City Corporation Announces 5% Property Tax Rebate for Early Payments

The Belagavi City Corporation (BCC) has rolled out a rebate scheme to encourage timely payment of property taxes, offering a 5% discount to citizens who clear their full tax dues within April.

As part of efforts to simplify the payment process, the civic body has introduced an upgraded online property tax payment system, allowing residents to conveniently pay from anywhere using digital methods such as debit cards, credit cards, and net banking.

Property owners who have received the computerized Form-1 along with their Property Identification (PID) number can complete their payments either through the online portal or at designated Belagavi-1 service centres across the city.

For those who may not have their PID details readily available, the corporation has enabled a flexible search option. Taxpayers can retrieve their property information using details like ward number, previous or updated assessment numbers, owner name, or registered mobile number.

Officials say the initiative is aimed at improving tax compliance while making the process more accessible and user-friendly. Citizens are encouraged to take advantage of the rebate window and complete their payments early to avoid last-minute delays.

The move is expected to enhance revenue collection efficiency while providing financial relief to proactive taxpayers.
