Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan on Wednesday directed officials across all government departments to work in close coordination and ensure thorough preparations for the upcoming winter session of the Karnataka Legislature at the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha
Presiding over a preparatory meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office auditorium, DC Roshan noted that the administration has adequate time to plan and execute arrangements seamlessly. He urged officers to shoulder their assigned tasks with utmost accountability.
The Deputy Commissioner noted that the official schedule and dates for the session will be finalized by Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar during the upcoming cabinet meeting.
To streamline the operations, sub-committees will be formed to oversee key arrangements. The DC stressed that top-tier accommodations, meals, and transport facilities must be arranged for visiting ministers, legislators, and other dignitaries.
He issued strict instructions to liaison and protocol officers to ensure that protocol for the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and cabinet ministers is maintained without any lapses. Concerned officials were also instructed to liaise with local hotel owners in advance to block the required rooms.
Key directions issued during the preparatory meeting include:
- Uninterrupted Connectivity: Ensuring seamless, uninterrupted high-speed internet connectivity across the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha throughout the session.
- Healthcare Readiness: Deploying dedicated emergency medical teams and mobile clinics across designated accommodation clusters housing dignitaries, officials, media personnel, and staff.
- Zero-Lapse Execution: Tight monitoring across all logistical touchpoints to avoid any operational bottlenecks during the high-profile legislative sitting.
City Police Commissioner Prakash Nikam, Superintendent of Police Ramarajan K., Probationary IAS Officer Rohit Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vijaykumar Honakeri, and senior officials from various line departments were present at the meeting.
