Finally, KIADB Auto Nagar Gets ₹1.2 Crore Infra Boost

After prolonged delays and growing concerns from industrial stakeholders, a much-awaited infrastructure upgrade has finally been set in motion at KIADB Auto Nagar near K.H. Patil Hall.

MLA Asif (Raju) Sait formally commenced the first phase of the project, backed by an allocation of ₹1.2 crore. The initiative focuses on constructing a durable asphalt road along with a comprehensive drainage system—two critical needs that have remained unaddressed for years.

The project is expected to significantly improve internal connectivity within the industrial area while tackling persistent issues such as waterlogging, especially during the monsoon season. Poor road conditions and inadequate drainage had long posed challenges for industrial units, workers, and transporters operating in the region.

He noted that improved roads and proper drainage would enhance operational efficiency and create a more conducive environment for businesses.

Local stakeholders and residents expressed relief, calling the development a “long-overdue step.” Many highlighted that the project would not only ease daily commuting but also improve sanitation and overall working conditions in KIADB Auto Nagar.

Officials, community leaders, and representatives from industrial units were present during the commencement ceremony, marking what many hope will be the beginning of sustained infrastructure development in the area.
