Miraj–Castle Rock Daily Express Regulated for Track Maintenance Works

Daily commuters traveling on the Miraj–Castle Rock route will experience delays on select dates in July and August due to ongoing infrastructure maintenance.

The South Western Railway (SWR) announced on July 24 that Train No. 17333 (Miraj–Castle Rock Daily Express) will be regulated for 50 minutes en route to accommodate line block operations for essential track maintenance works between Chikodi Road and Ghatprabha stations under the Hubballi Division.

Affected Schedule Dates

The regulation will apply on a total of 18 dates spread across July and August 2026:

  • July 2026: 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, and 31
  • August 2026: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, and 14

According to Dr. Manjunath Kanamadi, Chief Public Relations Officer of South Western Railway, Hubballi, these temporary line blocks are necessary to maintain safety standards and improve track infrastructure along the busy corridor.

Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and check official railway enquiry channels before heading to stations.
