Passengers traveling toward Belagavi from southern Karnataka will face minor schedule disruptions over a 12-day period starting late October, following an official announcement by the South Western Railway (SWR).
In a press release issued Monday by SWR Chief Public Relations Officer Dr. Manjunath Kanamadi, railway authorities confirmed that a scheduled Line Block and Power Block will be implemented at the Tumakuru (TK) station yard to facilitate ongoing station redevelopment works.
Consequently, several regional and long-distance trains passing through the corridor will be temporarily cancelled, rescheduled, or regulated en route.
Direct Impact on Belagavi Commuters
The primary service affecting Belagavi city and district passengers is the daily express connecting the cultural capital of Mysuru with northern Karnataka:
- Train No. 20676 – Mysuru – Belagavi Express (Vishwamanava Express): The train will be regulated (held up) en route for 15 minutes across 12 days: October 23 to 25, October 28 to November 1, and November 4 to 7, 2026.
- Commuters boarding at intermediate halts and awaiting arrival at Belagavi railway station—as well as nearby district stops like Khanapur and Londa Junction—can expect a slight delay in the train’s evening arrival.
Additionally, passengers from the Belagavi border region utilizing Londa Junction or Castle Rock to travel toward Bengaluru will see minor delays on the Goa–Bengaluru route:
- Train No. 17310 – Vasco da Gama – Yesvantpur Express: Regulated en route for 15 minutes on October 22 to 24, October 27 to 31, and November 3 to 6, 2026.
