Residents in several parts of Belagavi including Vadgaon, Angol and surrounding localities are likely to face a scheduled power disruption on May 10 due to quarterly maintenance and emergency repair works undertaken by HESCOM and KPTCL.
According to HESCOM officials, the interruption in electricity supply will remain in effect from 9 am to 5 pm from the 110 KV Vadgaon substation as part of essential maintenance activities aimed at improving power infrastructure and reliability.
Areas expected to be affected include Vadgaon, Angol, Bhagyanagar, Rani Channamma Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Mahaveer Nagar, Keshav Nagar, Anand Nagar, RPD Road, Ranade Colony, Sambhaji Nagar, Sahyadri Colony, Parijat Colony, Om Nagar and nearby localities.
Officials also stated that electricity supply to connected villages and irrigation pump sets under the affected feeder network will remain temporarily suspended during the maintenance period.
Residents have been advised to plan their day accordingly and take necessary precautions in view of the scheduled outage.
