In a bid to cater to the heavy festive rush during the upcoming Dasara holidays and weekend, South Western Railway (SWR) has announced a special express train service connecting Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru with Belagavi. The train will operate one trip in each direction.
According to a press release issued by SWR Chief Public Relations Officer Dr. Manjunath Kanamadi, the special service aims to ease passenger congestion along this high-demand corridor ahead of the festive break.
Train Schedule and Timings
- Train No. 06563 (SMVT Bengaluru to Belagavi): Departs from SMVT Bengaluru at 7:00 PM (19:00 hrs) on Friday, October 16, 2026, and reaches Belagavi the following morning at 8:25 AM on October 17.
- Train No. 06564 (Belagavi to SMVT Bengaluru): Departs from Belagavi at 5:30 PM (17:30 hrs) on Saturday, October 17, 2026, arriving back at SMVT Bengaluru at 5:00 AM the next day, October 18.
