South Western Railway (SWR) has announced special express train services between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru (SMVB) and Belagavi (BGM) to accommodate high travel demand.
The train will operate for two trips in each direction under the Train on Demand (TOD) scheme.
Service Schedule & Coach Composition
- Train No. 06551 (SMVB – Belagavi): Departs SMVT Bengaluru on August 20, 2026 (Thursday) and August 22, 2026 (Saturday) at 19:00 hrs, arriving in Belagavi at 08:25 hrs the following morning.
- Train No. 06552 (Belagavi – SMVB): Departs Belagavi on August 21, 2026 (Friday) and August 23, 2026 (Sunday) at 17:30 hrs, arriving at SMVT Bengaluru at 05:00 hrs the next day.
- Coach Composition (19 Coaches): 10 Sleeper Class (GSCN), 7 General Second / Chair Car (GS/CZ), and 2 Second Class Luggage/Brake Van with disabled accommodation (SLR/D).
- Traction: End-to-end electric traction (AC).
