Across Karnataka, prominent heritage sites and administrative buildings were bathed in vibrant pink lights between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM on August 30. The special illumination marked the completion of three years of the state government’s flagship Gruha Lakshmi scheme.
In Belagavi, the grand Suvarna Vidhana Soudha near Halaga and the central Kittur Rani Chennamma Circle turned pink alongside several district administrative offices, drawing large crowds of onlookers.
Why the Pink Theme? The color pink was chosen as a symbolic visual tribute to women’s pride, empowerment, and the transformative impact of the welfare initiative across the state.
