Belagavi Urban Development Authority (BUDA) Chairman and Belagavi North MLA Asif (Raju) Sait conducted a comprehensive inspection of the proposed site for the upcoming Information Technology (IT) Park in Belagavi.
Accompanied by youth leader Amaan Sait and senior BUDA officials, the MLA reviewed the blueprint and assessed on-ground preparedness for the high-priority development.
During the visit, Sait surveyed the demarcated land and held detailed discussions with town planning and administrative officers regarding the project’s layout, connectivity, and infrastructure requirements. He issued clear directions to the authorities to anticipate potential roadblocks, ensure all statutory procedures are met ahead of time, and maintain complete procedural transparency.
Underlining the economic significance of the facility, Sait noted that establishing a full-fledged IT Park has long been an aspiration for the city. Once operational, the hub is expected to catalyze local business ecosystems and generate substantial direct and indirect employment opportunities for Belagavi’s educated youth, curbing the regional brain drain to major metro cities.
Reiterating his dual mandate as both the local representative and the head of BUDA, Sait warned against administrative negligence.
“This IT Park is vital to Belagavi’s long-term economic roadmap and must be executed with the highest standards of diligence, accountability, and openness,” Sait said, making it clear that irregularities, procedural delays, or compromises in execution quality will not be tolerated.
The Chairman instructed the engineering and planning teams to proceed systematically through every phase of clearance and construction, ensuring the project aligns strictly with the wider developmental interests of Belagavi and its citizens.
