Bengaluru–Mumbai Superfast Train to Boost Connectivity via Belagavi
In a significant development for rail connectivity in Karnataka and Maharashtra, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has confirmed the introduction of a new superfast train service between Bengaluru and Mumbai.
Faster Travel Time
The upcoming train is expected to reduce travel time to approximately 18 hours, a notable improvement compared to the existing Udyan Express, which currently takes over 23 hours to complete the journey.
Key Route and Stops
The train will operate via an important corridor, enhancing connectivity across major cities. Key stoppages will include:
- Tumakuru
- Davangere
- Hubballi
- Belagavi
The service is likely to originate from SMVT Bengaluru station and terminate at CSMT Mumbai, two major railway hubs.
