To ensure the benefits of the Gruha Jyothi scheme reach only the intended, living beneficiaries, the government has decided to collect additional information from registered households.
This initiative addresses issues such as the death of registered owners/tenants, changes in tenancy, or the sale/purchase of properties that may not have been updated in the system.
Required Additional Information
Electricity Supply Company (ESCOM) personnel will visit households to collect the following details and update them in the Seva Sindhu software:
- Ration Card Details: Whether the household has an APL, BPL, or no card, and the specific BPL card number if applicable.
- Voter Information: Whether the applicant is a registered voter in Karnataka, including their EPIC number if applicable.
- Applicant Photo: A photograph of the applicant.
- Category: Classification of the beneficiary (SC/ST/OBC/Minorities/Others).
- Income Tax Status: Whether the applicant is an income tax payer, including their PAN number if applicable.
- Profession: Details such as government job, private job, business, farming, labor, etc.
Implementation Details
- Start Date: The data collection process will commence on July 1, 2026.
- Timeline: The process must be completed within two months.
- Verification: ESCOM staff will obtain confirmation from the owner/tenant regarding the provided information.
- Costs: Decisions regarding honorariums for staff and internet data charges will be made at the ESCOM level.
- Monitoring: ESCOMs are required to provide daily progress reports to the government.
Note: All other existing terms, conditions, and previous government orders regarding the Gruha Jyothi scheme remain unchanged.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ‘ಗೃಹ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ’ ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿ ನೋಂದಾಯಿತ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ನವೀಕರಿಸಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಹೊಸ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಂಶಗಳು ಹೀಗಿವೆ:
- ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹ: ಗೃಹ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿರುವ, ಬಾಡಿಗೆದಾರರು ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಅಥವಾ ಮನೆ ಮಾರಾಟ/ಖರೀದಿಯಂತಹ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಣೆಯಾಗದಿರುವುದು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಲು, ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸರಬರಾಜು ಕಂಪನಿಗಳ (ESCOMs) ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
- ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ: ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳು ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ:
- ಪಡಿತರ ಚೀಟಿ ವಿವರಗಳು (APL/BPL ಮತ್ತು ಬಿಪಿಎಲ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಡ್ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ).
- ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮತದಾರರ ಗುರುತಿನ ಚೀಟಿ (EPIC) ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ.
- ಅರ್ಜಿದಾರರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರ.
- ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳ ವರ್ಗ (SC/ST/OBC/ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರು/ಇತರೆ).
- ಆದಾಯ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಪಾವತಿದಾರರೇ ಎಂಬ ಮಾಹಿತಿ (ಹೌದು ಎಂದಾದಲ್ಲಿ PAN ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ).
- ವೃತ್ತಿ ವಿವರ.
- ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಯ ಮಿತಿ: ಈ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯು 2026ರ ಜುಲೈ 1ರಿಂದ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ಬರಲಿದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸರಬರಾಜು ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಅವಧಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು.
- ದೃಢೀಕರಣ: ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ ನಂತರ, ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸೂಕ್ತ ದೃಢೀಕರಣವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲಾಗುವುದು. ಈ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ‘ಸೇವಾಸಿಂಧು’ ತಂತ್ರಾಂಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು.
- ಇತರೆ: ಈ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ವೆಚ್ಚ (ಗೌರವಧನ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂಟರ್ನೆಟ್ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ) ಕುರಿತ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ಕಂಪನಿಗಳ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು.
ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಹಿಂದಿನ ನಿಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
