BELAGAVI — Commuters on the Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) Special Fare Special (Train 01014) faced severe disruption early Tuesday morning after the train was delayed by over eight hours.
The train, which connects Bengaluru with Mumbai via the critical rail corridor of north Karnataka, was scheduled to arrive at the Belagavi (BGM) railway station at 00:15 on June 9. However, agonizing delays along the route pushed the actual arrival time back to 08:22, a grueling 8 hours and 7 minutes behind schedule.

Impact on Passengers
The delay left hundreds of late-night and early-morning travelers stranded on Platform 1 of the Belagavi station. Many passengers, including families and elderly commuters traveling toward Maharashtra, had to spend the night waiting on the platforms.
The train finally completed its brief halt and departed Belagavi at 08:33 (late by 8 hours and 13 minutes), continuing its onward journey toward Miraj, Pune, and ultimately Mumbai LTT.
