Minister Satish Jarkiholi Inspects Ongoing Hudali Railway Overbridge Work

BELAGAVI: Karnataka Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Satish Jarkiholi conducted a site visit near Hudali in Belagavi district to personally inspect the progress of the ongoing railway overbridge (ROB) construction, a key infrastructure project being executed at an estimated cost of ₹35 crore.

During the inspection, the Minister reviewed the project’s advancement, technical quality, and safety measures with the engineering teams. Recognizing the current inconvenience caused to daily commuters, Minister Jarkiholi instructed officials to implement immediate measures to alleviate temporary traffic disruptions in the area.

He held a joint meeting at the site with officials from both the Railways and the PWD to discuss the various phases of execution. Emphasizing the need for seamless inter-departmental coordination, he directed them to accelerate the pace of work.

“The construction must be completed within the stipulated deadline without any further delays,” Minister Jarkiholi stated. He further issued a strict directive to the authorities, emphasizing that there should be absolutely no compromise on the quality of work and that all mandatory public safety precautions must be stringently followed during the construction phase.

Once completed, the new railway overbridge is expected to significantly ease daily commutes between Gokak and Belagavi city. It will provide smooth, hassle-free connectivity for the residents of Hudali and surrounding villages, effectively reducing traffic congestion and substantially enhancing road safety on this heavily traveled route.
