Regaal Resources’ Plans to Expand Maize Processing Capacity in Belagavi

Karnataka’s Minister for Large and Medium Industries, M.B. Patil, has announced that Regaal Resources Ltd., one of India’s leading agro-processing companies specializing in maize-based value-added products, is planning to expand its maize processing capacity in Belagavi district.

The announcement came following a meeting held during the Karnataka Investment Roadshow in Kolkata, where M.B. Patil met Rohan Kishorepuria, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Siddharth Verma, Chief of Staff, of Regaal Resources Ltd.

According to the minister, discussions focused on the company’s proposed expansion in Belagavi. He highlighted Karnataka’s strong industrial ecosystem, investor-friendly policies, manufacturing incentives, and the state’s readiness to facilitate suitable land for the project.

M.B. Patil also encouraged Regaal Resources to explore value-added processing of other agricultural commodities, including toor (pigeon pea), leveraging Karnataka’s robust agri-industrial ecosystem and abundant agricultural resources.

If the proposed investment moves forward, it is expected to enhance Belagavi’s agro-processing sector, create employment opportunities, strengthen the local agricultural value chain, and reinforce the district’s position as a key destination for food processing and manufacturing investments.

The announcement is part of Karnataka’s ongoing investment outreach in Kolkata, aimed at attracting new industrial investments and promoting balanced economic growth across the state.
