In a boost to youth development and extracurricular infrastructure, Belagavi North MLA Asif (Raju) Sait has unveiled the redeveloped Chess Park at Sardar High School. The initiative represents a key milestone in expanding learning environments beyond standard classroom settings across the constituency.
The upgraded facility is designed as a dedicated arena where students can learn, practise, and master chess. Beyond recreation, the park aims to foster critical cognitive skills, including strategic foresight, problem-solving capabilities, discipline, and sustained mental focus.
Speaking on the initiative, MLA Sait emphasized that education and youth empowerment remain at the core of his developmental agenda. He noted that investments in public schools must cater to holistic student growth, providing constructive and intellectually stimulating avenues during free hours alongside traditional academic coursework.
The redevelopment of the Sardar High School Chess Park forms part of a broader push to modernize campus amenities and offer students a safe, engaging space to cultivate life skills through mind sports.
