EV infrastructure in Belagavi received a major upgrade with the inauguration of the city’s first 120 kW Tata Power DC Fast EV Charging Station at Gogte Plaza, located near Fairfield by Marriott in Kakati.
Developed through a collaboration between Tata Power EZ Charge, Sourdeep Green Energy Pvt. Ltd., and Shree Venkateswara Power Services, the ultra-fast charging unit aims to cater to the growing number of electric vehicle users in the district and along the surrounding highway corridor.

Charging Meets Leisure
The new facility is strategically situated at Gogte Plaza, home to the popular local venue Pins & Lanes Belagavi. The placement allows drivers to power up their vehicles while enjoying dining, bowling, and entertainment options on-site.
Unlike standard urban chargers, the 120 kW capacity enables rapid charging, significantly reducing waiting times for long-distance commuters and local commuters alike.
A Tata Power EZ Charge 120 kW ultra-fast DC charger typically charges an electric vehicle from 10% to 80% in roughly 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the vehicle’s battery capacity and maximum charging speed.
