SWR Announces Special Trains Between Bengaluru and Belagavi For Ganesh Chaturthi

To clear the heavy festival rush ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi, South Western Railway (SWR) has announced two pairs of special train services operating between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru and Belagavi.

According to SWR Chief Public Relations Officer Dr. Manjunath Kanamadi, the special services aim to provide hassle-free connectivity for passengers traveling between the state capital and North Karnataka during the festive weekend.

Service Schedule and Timings

  • Train No. 06563 / 06564 SMVT Bengaluru – Belagavi – SMVT Bengaluru Special:
    • Bengaluru to Belagavi (06563): Departs SMVT Bengaluru on September 11, 2026, at 7:00 PM and reaches Belagavi at 8:25 AM the following morning.
    • Belagavi to Bengaluru (06564): Departs Belagavi on September 12, 2026, at 5:30 PM and arrives at SMVT Bengaluru at 5:00 AM the next day.
  • Train No. 06583 / 06584 SMVT Bengaluru – Belagavi – SMVT Bengaluru Special:
    • Bengaluru to Belagavi (06583): Departs SMVT Bengaluru on September 13, 2026, at 7:00 PM, reaching Belagavi at 8:25 AM the next day.
    • Belagavi to Bengaluru (06584): Departs Belagavi on September 14, 2026, at 5:30 PM, arriving at SMVT Bengaluru at 5:00 AM the next day.

Note : Bookings will be opened at 8 AM on 10th September.

  • 3 AC 3-Tier coaches
  • 9 Sleeper Class coaches
  • 4 General Second Class coaches
  • 2 Second Class Luggage cum Brake Vans with Disabled Friendly Compartments (SLRD)
