Belagavi Airport has recorded its highest-ever single-day air cargo movement, marking another milestone in the region’s growing logistics and industrial ecosystem.
According to the Belagavi Airport, IndiGo Airlines successfully transported 628 kg of automobile parts from Belagavi to various destinations across the country in a single day—the highest air cargo uplift ever recorded at the airport.
AAI stated that this achievement reflects Belagavi’s increasing importance as a manufacturing and logistics hub. The record cargo movement is expected to strengthen supply chains for industries in the region while providing faster connectivity to markets across India.
The airport authorities congratulated IndiGo Airlines for the milestone and noted that the achievement demonstrates the growing role of Belagavi Airport in supporting regional economic development through efficient air cargo services.
With industrial activity expanding in and around Belagavi, airport officials expressed confidence that cargo volumes will continue to grow, further enhancing the city’s position as a key logistics gateway in North Karnataka.
