BeTCA Tech Meet 2026 showcases Belagavi’s growing technology ecosystem
Packed fifth edition features eight product launches, technology exhibition and MoU with Goa Technology Companies Association

Belagavi, September 20, 2026: Belagavi’s growing technology ecosystem was showcased at the fifth edition of the BeTCA Tech Meet 2026, held at the Foundry Cluster on September 19.

Organised by the Belagavi Technology Companies Association (BeTCA), the event was held under the theme “Engineering the Future – AI. DeepTech. Security.” The event brought together technology companies, entrepreneurs, engineers, founders, professionals and technology enthusiasts.

The event witnessed a packed house, while the exhibition featuring BeTCA member companies received a strong response from visitors. The stalls showcased locally developed technologies and products across areas including artificial intelligence, DeepTech, cybersecurity, aerospace, defence, embedded systems, healthcare and engineering technology.

For many visitors, the exhibition provided an opportunity to see the range of technology being developed by companies operating from Belagavi.

“You don’t have to leave Belagavi to build something remarkable”

Delivering the keynote address, Deepak Shapeti, Co-Founder and CEO of Morphing Machines, spoke about entrepreneurship, innovation and the ecosystem developing in Belagavi.

Shapeti said Belagavi today has an ecosystem capable of supporting innovation and helping young entrepreneurs build ventures from the city itself.

Sharing his entrepreneurial journey, he spoke about the importance of curiosity, having a broad perspective, taking risks and not being afraid of failure.

He encouraged young people to explore different disciplines and pursue their ideas, stressing that they do not necessarily have to leave Belagavi to build something remarkable.

Cybersecurity and product development take centre stage

The Tech Meet featured a panel discussion titled “Beyond the Firewall: How Modern Cyber Attacks Are Detected, Traced and Stopped.”

The panel featured Saleem Landur, mobile metadata and digital forensics expert; Hitesh Dharmdasani, Founder and CEO of NetSense CyberSecurity; and Swapneel Patnekar, cybersecurity and cyber-threat intelligence professional. The discussion was moderated by Aadil Bandukwala, VP – Content Studio at HackerRank.

Another panel, “From Ideas to Products,” brought together Murali Srinivasa, Founder and CEO of LionCircuits; Deepak Shapeti; Uma Bondada; and Tulasidas Salunkhe. The session was moderated by Sandeep Patil and focused on engineering, product development, manufacturing and taking technology from an idea to the market.

The event also featured “Building Belagavi: The Startup Story,” with Mehmood Athani, content creator; Swathi Gururaj Kulkarni, entrepreneur and founder of Funda Hudugi; and Ian Nazareth, founder of The Foundry Podcast. The session was moderated by Mili Mishra, Co-Founder of Bumshum.

Eight products launched

Eight products and technology platforms were launched during the event by BeTCA member companies.

Sarus Aerospace presented Shaurya, an indigenous aerospace innovation for India’s defence requirements, presented by Rahul Patil.

GroEDGE, presented by Rushikesh Burse, showcased an AI-powered patient acquisition system aimed at skin, aesthetic and dermatology clinics.

MIMO360 by ZeuronAI, presented by Siddharth Nair and Dr Akash Gadgade, is a connected-care platform integrating specialist care, rehabilitation and everyday support for areas including neurological conditions, diabetes and women’s health.

Samhita Engineering presented its Product Engineering Suite (PES) through Sandeep Patil. The AI-assisted platform is designed to streamline the development lifecycle of safety-critical systems.

Conqer AI, presented by Rahul Hukkerikar and Rachana, enables businesses to create websites, generate marketing posters and captions and automate social media posting through WhatsApp.

FIXIDU, presented by Harshit Reddy and team, is an online aggregator connecting customers with handyman services including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, masonry and appliance repairs.

Sora Labs, presented by Roshan Patil, showcased AI agents designed to connect conversations, integrations and business operations, helping businesses move from intent to action.

Reputes, presented by Supreet Dixit, launched Zen Voice, an AI-powered CRM suite that captures and evaluates sales calls, manages leads, automates WhatsApp and email nurturing, generates quotations and contracts, and provides sales dashboards and insights.

BeTCA signs MoU with Goa Technology Companies Association

A key development at the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BeTCA and the Goa Technology Companies Association (GTCA).

The MoU aims to promote mutual cooperation between the two associations and create opportunities for knowledge sharing, networking, industry collaboration and joint initiatives involving their respective technology communities.

The agreement also provides an avenue for technology companies and members from Belagavi and Goa to connect and explore opportunities for collaboration.

BeTCA community continues to grow

The fifth edition also highlighted the growth of BeTCA, which has evolved into a 90-plus-member community, representing more than 50 technology companies working across diverse sectors.

The member companies are involved in areas including DeepTech, embedded systems, SaaS, cybersecurity, defence technology, 3D technology and artificial intelligence.

BeTCA’s jobs initiative has also recorded around 143 job postings, with approximately 30 job offers made and around 20 positions accepted.

The fifth edition of the Tech Meet brought together the various elements of Belagavi’s technology ecosystem — companies, products, entrepreneurs, talent and industry networks — providing a platform to showcase the technology being developed from the city and to build connections beyond it.
