In response to continuous heavy rainfall battering parts of the district, Belagavi District Collector (DC) Mohammad Roshan has officially declared a holiday for all educational institutions in both urban and rural areas of Belagavi and Khanapur taluks on Tuesday, July 7.
The precautionary measure has been taken to prioritize student safety as heavy downpours continue to impact normal life and travel conditions across the region.
Scope of the Holiday Order
The closure applies to all government, aided, and private institutions up to class 12, including:
- Anganwadi centers
- Primary schools
- High schools
- Pre-University (PUC) colleges
Local authorities have advised parents and students to monitor updates from their respective school administrations, as individual conditions and local safety risks are continuously being reviewed by the district disaster management cell.
