In a major boost to regional administrative infrastructure, the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) officially inaugurated its new Divisional Office at the Belagavi City Bus Terminal Building on Monday, July 6, 2026.
The state-of-the-art office, built on the third floor of the new city bus terminal building, was funded and developed under the Smart City project grants.
Sunil J. Hanumannavar, the Honorable Vice President of NWKRTC, inaugurated the facility by performing the traditional auspicious pooja rituals. Following the formal ribbon-cutting, the Vice President handed over office keys to the respective branch heads of the Belagavi division to mark the official transition into the new workspace.
The event was attended by several high-ranking officials and key stakeholders, including K.L. Gudennavar, the Divisional Controller of NWKRTC Belagavi Division, along with other corporation officers, administrative staff, and the project contractor, Udaykumar Shetty.
The new divisional facility is expected to streamline NWKRTC operations in the region and improve administrative efficiency under a single, modernized hub.
