In a significant move aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations, the Department of Civil Engineering at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology (KLS GIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India) Belagavi.
Under this partnership, undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students of civil engineering will benefit from curriculum-integrated internships, technical lectures delivered by industry experts, specialized hands-on guidance in skill labs, and practical exposure through visits to various construction sites. The primary objective of the agreement is to align classroom instruction with real-world industry demands, enhancing students’ professional readiness.
The MoU was formally executed by Yuvraj Hulji, President of CREDAI Belagavi, and Rajendra Belgaumkar, Chairman of the KLS GIT Governing Council.
The signing ceremony saw the presence of key leadership members from both organizations, including:
- CREDAI Belagavi Representatives: Vice President Anand Kulkarni, Secretary Prashant Wandkar, Treasurer Sudhir Panare, CWW City Coordinator Karuna Hiremath, Secretary Savita Sayanekar, and State Coordinator Deepa Wandkar, alongside members of the managing committee.
- KLS GIT Representatives: Principal Dr. Vijay Athavale, the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, and faculty members.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives highlighted that this strategic partnership marks a major milestone in empowering students with practical skills, boosting their employability, and preparing them to meet the evolving challenges of the construction and real estate sectors.
